Choir
The CONSONO chamber choir was founded from a vocal ensemble under the direction of Harals Jers and nowadays consists of 35 young singers.
For many years now the choir has held concerts with rarely performed music of different eras and countries. One of the specialties and focuses of the young ensemble is the formulation of interesting and widely unknown a cappella literature of contemporary composers and their stylistically authentic kind of performance. Voice training and the work on an era-specific sound are essential rehearsal parts.
You can get an impression of the choir sound through listening to examples on the "recordings" page (links to youtube).
CONSONO makes an appearance through broadcasting and by winning awards from national and international choir competitions: lastly by winning first prize at the German Choir Competition in Kiel, winning of the highest achievement level I („international excellent“) at the Chamber Choir Competition Marktoberdorf 2007 and the Carl-Orff-Special-Award for best performance of a choir piece, three first prize at the International Belgium Choir Competition 2007 in Maasmechelen and last but not least the winning of the Fleischmann Trophy in Cork/Ireland in 2008 and the GRAND PRIX Seghizzi 2009 in Gorizia, Italy.
